1. Sponsor

This giveaway competition is sponsored by Dahabshiil.com* powered by Talkremit Ltd (“Sponsor”), located at 20 Eastbourne Terrace London W2 6LG, UK.

 

1. Eligibility

This competition is open to individuals whose passports are eligible to go to Umrah, who have a verified Dahabshiil account, and who are at least 18 years of age. Employees etc of Talkremit Ltd, Dahabshiil and affiliated companies are excluded. Their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. This competition is subject to provincial, and local laws and regulations.

 

1. Competition Period

The competition begins at 00:00 GMT on February 28th, 2024, and ends at 00:00 GMT on April 15, 2024. Entries submitted before or after this period will not be considered.

 

1. How to Enter

Participants must share their story related to “Ramadan” on social media, tagging @dahabshiilapp. No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase the chances of winning. However, the more entries, the better your chances of winning.

Share what Ramadan means to you and spread the blessings of the holy month with Dahabshiil. 

Example of thought starter for images and videos you could share to enter our giveaway:

• Personal Connection: How does Ramadan enrich your life? Share a story of a Ramadan that deeply moved or changed you.
• Iftar Memories: Iftar’s swift blend of flavors, prayers, and familial bonds
• Community Spirit: How has the spirit of Ramadan enhanced the sense of community where you live? Describe a moment when you felt the warmth and unity of the Ramadan spirit in your community.
• Faith: How does Ramadan reinforce your personal identity and faith?
• Ramadan Prayers: What are your aspirations for future Ramadans? Share your vision for fostering and evolving the traditions of Ramadan in your community.
• Sharing the Blessings: How has our service facilitated your Ramadan experience, especially in connecting with loved ones? We invite you to share a heartfelt story where our service played a role in a significant moment during Ramadan, strengthening your bonds of kinship and faith.
• Inspire: A glass of water at Iftar, or a memory of Tarawih with your friends, whatever Ramadan means to you, do not hesitate to share it.

Please remember the following guidelines when sharing your story:

·      Respectful Language: Avoid profanity or disrespect. Be inclusive and kind.
·      Exclusive Branding: Do not tag or mention competitors.

 

1. Selection of Winner

The winner will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Sponsor based on creativity, originality, authenticity and relevance to the theme. The decision of the judges is final and binding.

 

1. Prize

There will only be one winner. The Umrah package for our contest winner includes flight tickets, stays in Makkah and Madinah, a 2024 Umrah visa, airport assistance in Jeddah, guided ziarats, and ongoing support for two people. Prize specifics are as listed or equivalent; non-transferable, with no cash or alternative substitutions, except at the Sponsor’s discretion.

 

1. Notification

The winner will be notified via social media within five (5) days following selection. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within 7 days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

 

1. Rights Granted by You

By entering this contest, you understand and agree that the Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of the Sponsor, and the Sponsor’s licensees shall have the right, throughout the world, to:

• edit, adapt, print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media and any language your entry to the competition, and
• use your name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, and image in association with your entry,

all for promotional purposes without any further compensation to you.

 

1. Terms & Conditions

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the competition.

We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.

We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

 

1. Disputes

This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales. As a condition of participating in this giveaway, participants agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.

 

1. Privacy Policy

Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the Dahabshiil website.

12.Winner declaration requirements

If you are the winner, you will be required to sign a document to this effect before you are entitled to receive the prize.

Winner Declaration Requirements for ‘Ramadan’ competition:
To be eligible for declaration as the winner of the “Ramadan” competition, participants must meet specific criteria beyond their submission. The chosen winner is required to download the Dahabshiil app and complete a full registration process. This includes becoming a verified and approved customer of Dahabshiil. The verification process necessitates providing accurate personal information, such as name, occupation, date of birth, and full residential address. Only upon successful completion of this registration and verification process will the participant be officially declared the winner and eligible to receive the prize. It is important to note that this step is essential for the disbursement of the prize and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
